About the Event

Not your typical cycling event

Forget road races and time trials. UCI Indoor Cycling is part sport, part performance, two disciplines crowning World Champions at Derby Arena. Artistic cycling sees riders perform choreographed routines on fixed gear bikes, while cycle-ball is football, but played on bikes.

Artistic Cycling

Riders perform choreographed routines on fixed-gear bikes, combining gymnastic movements, balance and precision into timed programmes judged on difficulty and execution.

Cycle-Ball

Think football, but played on bikes. Two-player teams compete to score goals using only their wheels and frame. Fast, physical and surprisingly tactical.

Derby Arena is one of the UK's premier indoor venues, home to a velodrome, multi-use event space and excellent facilities for athletes and spectators alike.

Located just off the A52 and close to the M1, the Arena is straightforward to reach by road, and within easy reach of East Midlands Airport.
